Finalising the UV Map

Ensuring there are no overlapping or inverted quads is important. These are fixed by going to select > select inverted or select overlapping. They will show up red. With any errors now gone, the other side of the face is to be mapped. This is easy as it is symmetrical. Adding a new UV Map modifier on the top of the stack will create a second face component and ear component directly on top of the previous ones in the map co-ordinates window. Move the new parts to the other side and mirror them.

The seam down the middle needs to be welded to the other side so one solid shape is created.

This is the model at a stage where it is ready to be textured using Photoshop.
